7 Quick Tips for a Better You!

Self improvement is the art of continuously becoming: you are in a state of flux when you are improving and that is something you should endeavour to be doing constantly. If you can bear in mind the old adage, ‘every day, in every way, I am getting better and better’, then you will understand the mindset you need to adopt in order to engage in a life of continuously improving until you become the person you need to be in order to reach your goals.
In this article, we are going to take a look at 7 Quick Tips for self improvement…
Tip #1 – Slow and steady wins the day. In other words, learn to be a tortoise and not a hare. It is not the speed at which you are moving, it is the constant steady movement with fixity of purpose that will get you to where you want to be.
Tip #2 – Don’t compare yourself to others. Along the way to your important goals, there are likely to be those who just seem to zoom past you without too much effort. This can be a very discouraging event, but learn to take it in your stride. Simply ignore what your competitors are doing and concentrate your energy on your own efforts.
Tip #3 – Stay malleable, not rigid, in your approach. You need to be rigid in your determination, but not in your approach. Be prepared to change the route to get to your goal. This is not changing the goal in any way, just recognising that, in order to achieve great things, sometimes we need to be flexible.
Tip #4 – Find cooperative partners. When you have set those really big goals, you will probably need to find other people to work with. So make a point of finding partners you can trust with whom you can work to your mutual benefit.
Tip #5 – Fill the need. Remember that you will succeed when you render service in some way. So identify who you are involved in serving, catalogue their needs and then be the provider of value to those people. Learn how to do this better than everyone else and you cannot fail.
Tip #6 – Concentrate on providing value not reward. Remember you are providing value, not chasing reward. Concentrate on providing that value and the reward will follow. Money is a by-product of doing something else very well and universal law will ensure you are always rewarded.
Tip #7 – Look after yourself. Take time off from working regularly – make this a habit in itself. Remember to identify and celebrate your little successes along the way. Treat yourself and those around you and enjoy where you are, right now, in your own personal journey.
